MSTRKRFT - Fist of God

i havent really been keeping up with any of my dance music lately.
so my friend shaun wrote on my facebook wall the other night about MSTRKRFT's new stuff...i knew i had to check it out.

now i know this album was released back in January..but i told you....i havent been up to date with my dance stuff...so gimme a break.
intrigued just by the cover, which is a collage of female asses and thighs formed to form a fist punching at you. i suppose this is what the fist of god looks like idk. but you know thats gotta be some dirty shit.
anyways. back to the point. needless to say, its a new mstrkrft album for fucks sake, how could you not be excited for it. the first thing i noticed was the surprising number of guests on the album. Lil Mo, N.O.R.E., Isis, John Legend, Jahmal of the Carps, E-40, Ghostface Killah!, Freeway.

MSTRKRFT's sound is instantly recognizable with their driving "dirty" distorted synths and house beats. But the crazy, party, drunk, "get fuckd up" theme kinda started getting old with some songs started to sound alike towards the end. 'Vuvuvu' - tight beat, too rave-like for me and got really repetitive. i definately love mstrkrft, and they are definately one of top favs. but this album is no Cross.

my recommendation: Definately check it out if your a fan. it is a great album. synths love all around :D

My Notable Tracks:
1000 Cigarettes
Bounce Ft. N.O.R.E. and Isis
Heartbreaker
Click Click Ft. E-40
Word Up Ft. Ghostface Killah

ps.-

im really pissed about not seeing them at sxsw the other night. i hear their live shows are amazing. esp. since they do all their synths/beats/drums whatever, LIVE. its not just some guys looping shit on Abelton. if you ever get a chance to see them perform, i suggest you do not pass it up.
